Jan built a fantastic fort outside one of his farmhouses. He then allied with Per to form a great force of 30 well trained soldiers.
Rafe and Luke lay across the valley from his farmhouse and fort. Rafe and Luke quickly dug a trench when they saw J & P's great force aiming their rifles at them. They stationed troops inside and posted more around the house.
Suddenly Jan and Per's troops let out a hail of bullets at Luke and Rafe's troops. Startled, they shot back, but to no avail; J & P's troops were in a fort.
A commander quickly issued a charge to L & R. They were mowed down but took refuge behiud a fence but were blown to bits. Sadly, Luke's men took great casualties from snipers.
The War of the Farms had begun!

News Flash from Dinoville!
And now for an update on our "brother city"
Luke and Jan, citizens of Dinoville, have allied their troops and have raided, sacked, and taken control of citizen Per's farm. Jan has now taken control of the farm.
The action was taken out of want for revenge for Per's offensive actions against both Jan and Luke. Per raided a farm in control of both Jan and Luke, slaughtered the troops guarding the area, and refused to pay any compensation money (hazelnuts).
Luckily, citizens are once again on good terms, and peace has been established... for the time being.

Devastating News from Dinoville!
We just received this disturbing news from our brother city...
Guess what? Dino-ville, this morning was completely destroyed!
It had to have been a person or animal, 'cause farmhouses, fields, buildings, trees, and everything you can think of were destroyed and flattened to the ground!
We were able to rebuild it, but a few soldiers were taken. Yah, Jan told in another dispatch that we got about 80 army men; I bet Dino-ville's army could defeat Dinopolis's, but we're brother towns, of course.
Earlier today Luke thought about raiding Rafe's and mine farms, which were right next to each other, but he gave up the idea; he had 15 soldiers and six dinos, and we had (together) eight dinos and 20 soldiers!
The devastating effect is being dealt with by a clean-up crew.

The editors of the Daily Dino appreciate the fine reporting work done by our Dinoville correspondents. We hope to be able to include photos in the future.

A Dinoville Update
You guys should come see our houses sometime.
I (Jan) even have a real furnace that can burn newspaper and pour smoke out the chimney. I have been elected president of Dinoville for 3 weeks, until there's another election. Luke, who was commander of the army, was deranked as he (supposedly on accident) burnded a dino so it melted in his cruddy furnace.
Per's now commander of the army, appointed by me, Luke is lietenant and chief of police, and Rafe is chief of roadbuilding. Kai is some guy with a whole bunch of tough dinos who are (supposedly) going to take over Dinoville.
see you later,
Jan

Introducing DINOVILLE
Dino-opolis is proud to introduce our brother-city, Dinoville!
We are happy to have a Guest Post from one of the residents of this fine city, our friend Per.
We started our own Din-opilis; but we call it Dino-ville. I (Per) am currently the governer/mayor of this new establishment. Jan has not begun his house, but will be commander of the army. Luke has appointed himself chief of police (we didn't care, 'cause no one else had that job, anyway). Rafe is chief of road building and Kai is a stray mongrel of a Dino going around to people's houses and saying,"Hey! I wanna be your fwend!" In which we reply,"Only if you sleep on the dirt, outside." Well, to get on with the business of talking over the new "ville."
The currency is hazelnuts. There's so many that they're hardly worth anything. Seven houses are attached by beautiful scrawny, dirt roads. The governer's house overlooks a elaborat view, and trees grow all around. He is a tryceratops and his nephew sleeps near him (they sleep on needles). Posted around him are seven indians and two cowboys. Rafe has a house up on a hill. His Dinos have a lookout all around the surrounding countryside (although they don't have any soldiers, they sold them to the governer).Luke's house is in the midst of a forest. He has five bodyguards to keep him safe. A little ways away from the big mansions of the rich, are where the regular people live, near the power outage. Four houses are there, no one exactly owns them, but they're there to build up the town to help upgrade it to a city. I hope it will become as booming as Dino-opolis! "Ya wanna be fwends, Dino-opolis?"
Yes we DO want to be friends!
