One dino, staying up late to observe the stars, gives us this account. "I heard a loud rumbling noise coming from the north. I looked in that direction and it looked like the stars were going out. Then I felt the wind coming up and realized it was a dust storm. I ran for cover as I felt pebbles and dust stinging my back. I ran to my house and took shelter there. After the dust storm I got these photos, before the wind blew the dust away."
We hope you enjoy your plunge into our Dino-opolis experience. After your visit, please leave us a comment!

Dino-opolis Dust Storm
Dino-opolis recently experienced its first dust storm ever. No one knows much about it, because it struck in the middle of the night, while all the dinos were supposed to be sleeping.

Farm Business
These photos show two of the many flourishing farms in the Dino-opolis hill country. We're lucky to have experienced farmers that grow and sell crops in Dino-opolis.

Above, you see Jan's farm. He visits from Dino-ville. His farm is doing very well!

This shows Pterodactyl Wyatt's farm. It is especially unique because Pterodactyl Wyatt is not just growing moss, he's also growing grass and snowdrops, as well as another plant that has sprung up in his farm, uninvited. Pterodactyl Wyatt has evaluated this volunteer plant and declared it good, because it smells good - minty.

Dino-opolis Hospital
This photo, taken from Pterodactyl Wyatt's helicopter "Firefly", shows an aerial view of the new Dino-opolis Hospital.

This photo shows the hospital's garage. You can see the car, truck, and ambulance on the left. Looking to the right, you see the paramedics with a stretcher.

Here you see part of our elite fire-fighting crew. They're doing drills.

So far, the firefighters have put out two fires and transported one unlucky victim of a boating accident to the hospital. The boater has recovered.

Spring Flooding
This picture was taken from our Dino-opolis News Chopper. Ahhhhh - you thought this was ancient times? Think again. These are modern times dinos. We have airplanes, cars, helicopters, boats, and nuclear weapons! But I'm not going to tell you Dino-opolis' history, because I'm here to tell you the news.
As you can see, the snow has long since melted, but has left large amounts of water in the lake... larger amounts than we want. It would've flooded Dino-opolis if we hadn't let it flood into the marketplace, which is fine now.
The picture below was taken from a place normally 10 dino-feet above Dino-opolis lake level. The photographer was standing on the edge of the flooded lake, though it appears to be taken from a boat.
You can see across the lake to a house that is nearly flooded. To the right you see a boat almost level with the edge of another concrete block - which just happens to be Pterodactyl Wyatt's house... mine!

New House/Hospital on the River
Carnotaurs Gunnar says, "I am the doctor and the boss of the hospital. My house, which is also the hospital, is built right over the river. Plus there is the P.B. - the pet barge. That's where I keep all my pets, and they like to swim. That's why we built right over the river. We also did it for a one-of-a-kind house!"
You can see the house in this photo, graciously provided by Pterodactyl Wyatt. As you can see on the very left, there is the P.B. You can see a Gumdrop Pet on the barge.
The nice thing about my house is that if we hear there has been a robbery we can put a barricade on the bridge into Delta City. This makes it harder for the crooks to get away. Especially if they steal a car, unless they want to cross enemy lines. My house is right by Delta City, which is downriver from Dino-opolis.

Daily Dino News, 4-3-09
This new land, to the east of Dino-opolis, over the Green Mountains, has been discovered by Pterodactyl Wyatt and Allosaurus Tate. We hope to send a clean-up crew to begin tidying the area for future colonization.
Wyatt says, "This may not be a permanent settlement, but it could be a prime location for summer homes."
* New House on the River
A group of dinos, combined their houses to form one huge mansion, suspended over the river near Delta City. Watch for a future post by Gunnar for more details and information.

Dino-ville update
Jan built a fantastic fort outside one of his farmhouses. He then allied with Per to form a great force of 30 well trained soldiers.
Rafe and Luke lay across the valley from his farmhouse and fort. Rafe and Luke quickly dug a trench when they saw J & P's great force aiming their rifles at them. They stationed troops inside and posted more around the house.
Suddenly Jan and Per's troops let out a hail of bullets at Luke and Rafe's troops. Startled, they shot back, but to no avail; J & P's troops were in a fort.
A commander quickly issued a charge to L & R. They were mowed down but took refuge behiud a fence but were blown to bits. Sadly, Luke's men took great casualties from snipers.
The War of the Farms had begun!

Moss Farms
Here you see our friends’ farm. They live in Dinoville, but they come to visit sometimes. We hope they’ll come soon!
Many dinos in Dino-opolis and Delta City have moss farms.
Moss is difficult to get, which is why we have moss farms. Otherwise we dinos have to go on long expeditions to get moss. It’s usually a dangerous journey. There are no roads, no tracks, and not very many ways to cross the river to reach the moss. Maps of the area are very unreliable.

News Flash from Dinoville!
And now for an update on our "brother city"
Luke and Jan, citizens of Dinoville, have allied their troops and have raided, sacked, and taken control of citizen Per's farm. Jan has now taken control of the farm.
The action was taken out of want for revenge for Per's offensive actions against both Jan and Luke. Per raided a farm in control of both Jan and Luke, slaughtered the troops guarding the area, and refused to pay any compensation money (hazelnuts).
Luckily, citizens are once again on good terms, and peace has been established... for the time being.

New Dinos to Dino-opolis
These are my friends.
One (on the right) is a long-neck dino, maybe a brachiosaurus. The one in the middle is what we would call a Poky-lo-saurus, aka a stegosaurus. And the one on the left is a raptor.
They hatched out of eggs. Very special eggs. Aka Bath-Fizzy eggs!
P.S. These are MY dinos!
